A beloved Brooklyn preschool, growing from a strong foundation.

For more than a decade, Brooklyn Treehouse has been built around a simple belief: every child is unique, and the best early learning experiences meet children where they are.

Today, as part of the Vivvi network of schools, Brooklyn Treehouse builds on years of trusted relationships with Brooklyn families, continuing the warm, individualized approach and deep commitment to early childhood education that have defined our school since its founding. Our experienced teachers, close-knit community and thoughtful educational philosophy remain at the heart of who we are.

Our Approach

At Brooklyn Treehouse, we understand that there is no single “right” way for every young child to learn.

Rather than adhering to one educational philosophy, our approach draws thoughtfully from play-based, child-centered, Reggio Emilia and other early childhood practices. Teachers get to know each child as an individual—their interests, strengths, temperament and learning style—and create experiences that support their social, emotional, physical and intellectual development.

Our classrooms are places where children are encouraged to explore, build confidence, develop independence and discover the joy of learning.

“Every child is unique and must be approached with the understanding that early childhood experiences leave indelible fingerprints on developing minds and personalities.”

Our Story

Brooklyn Treehouse was founded by early childhood educator Lisa Armentano, whose three decades of experience in early childhood education helped shape the school’s individualized approach to learning.

Lisa envisioned a preschool where children would be known and celebrated as individuals, teachers would have the freedom to follow children's curiosity, and families would feel a genuine sense of belonging.

That vision became the foundation of Brooklyn Treehouse and continues to guide our school today.

Our Commitment to Your Child

Led by Head of School Stacey Sukoff, our teaching team (many of whom have been here since the school's first days) continues to create the nurturing, engaging and deeply personal early learning experience Brooklyn Treehouse is known for.

As part of the Vivvi network of schools, Brooklyn Treehouse also benefits from additional resources, expertise and support for our educators and families, while remaining distinctly Brooklyn Treehouse: rooted in our neighborhood, our community and the relationships that make our school special.

We’re proud of where Brooklyn Treehouse has been, excited about where it’s going, and look forward to welcoming your family.
