If you’re raising a young child today, screens are part of the landscape — and figuring out how to navigate them thoughtfully can feel complicated. Join us for a thoughtful, research-informed conversation with developmental psychologist Dr. Kristyn VanDahm, grounded in new screentime guidance from the American Academy of Pediatrics, along with emerging research on how families can build healthy, balanced relationships with digital media in the early years.
Rather than focusing only on minutes, we’ll explore how content, context and connection shape children’s experiences with screens in the first five years. We’ll move beyond all-or-nothing thinking and introduce practical, intentional media habits that work in real family life.
You’ll walk away with:
- A clearer understanding of what current research says about screen use in early childhood
- Practical ways to evaluate what your child is watching and how it fits into daily routines
- Age-specific guidance for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Tools to support healthy media habits while keeping connection and play at the center
